If there were a clear, actionable way to up your Instagram engagement WITHOUT obsessive grid planning, posting every.single.day, or the anxiety of “am I even doing this right …”
… would you feel confident to show up on the app and share your story for your dream clients?
You see: You have influence right where you are.
The things we're most scared to talk about? THOSE are the things that create a bond far bigger than any product or service.
Those are the things that accelerate the whole know/like/trust thing with your dream clients and customers.
Which in turn, makes Instagram less about a popularity contest and more about your profitability.
You’ve got a mug in one hand, phone in the other, and a messy bun in the morning light.
You’re scrolling through your photos desperate for something that doesn’t clash with the last shot you posted.
You’re in battle-mode to get something up ASAP before the algorithm gods bury your post.
You pop open those other Instagram tools and courses and memberships you’ve invested in … what were the “rules” again? The pointers??
...that at THIS point you’ve fiddled with for so long that you’re crosseyed and want to just select-all-erase.
It is too long? Too vulnerable? Not REAL enough? Now you’re rethinking the photo. And should you share about your post on stories?? (Isn’t that what the cool kids do now?)
The words look like gibberish eventually, you take a deep breath, hit publish, aaaand paste up some hashtags that at least won’t put you in Instagram jail.
WHEW—Done. Or, kind of.
You spend way too much time refreshing the page, and you finally decide to put your phone down, morning gone, brain drained, messy bun even messier.
Cut to 12 hours later: you’ll be making your BFF hit pause on your fave show to watch together so you can stop everything and post something else, because that’s what all the successful creative entrepreneurs do, right? That’s “the life” you’re “dreaming” of??
Remember the good ol’ days of the ‘Gram? You know, when we didn’t have a care in the world—and used questionable orange filters. A pixelated selfie was all that mattered, because you invited people into your life.
My system’s about showing up, being me, and trying to remind people they’re not alone.
And now? I want to invite you behind the velvet rope.
I’m handing over the step-by-step system I used to get there... to you.
If you've ever felt like a tiny fish in a giant sea, (Hi! You're welcome here!) this one's for you. Quit scratching your head over the catch words aesthetic, curation, and branding ... I'll teach you how to create a visual brand on Instagram and know what images to pick to post.
First, we're diving into the definition of a TRUE brand and my step-by-step secret to positioning yourself on Instagram as an expert in your industry.
Next, you’ll learn my special ABCDQ Formula so you can hone your voice and vision, and ensure each post has a purpose in serving your audience.
Get ready to unlock the mystery of attracting your ideal clients by standing out beyond what you do or what you sell, through owning who you are.
Module 01
Now that you have an idea and ability to brainstorm what types of imagery you plan to use and plan to incorporate into your feed, let's talk about how to write captions that support, story-tell, and ultimately convert your audience… because popular doesn’t pay the bills.
In this module, I'll give you my go-to tips to write captions that invite engagement and turn your mere followers into raving fans. You'll get your hands on my best-kept secrets that will help you beat the algorithm and craft captions that carry your voice to EVERYONE that’s supposed to hear it!
By the end, you will understand where social media plays a role in your overall marketing strategy so that you can remove the pressure to have *thee perfect thing* to say all the time and, instead, focus on serving your followers.
MODULE 02
Planning your posts does NOT have to take the fun out of the app. In fact, it can (and will) give you freedom. I will equip you with our exact process so that you never open the app and wonder “what the heck am I going to post today?” Save time, save yourself frustration, and build out your plan.
I also walk you through how I plan a weeks worth of content in under an hour so you can focus more on engaging than creating: a surefire way to beat the algorithm. You'll learn how to create a true brand and not just a business through how you post, when you show up, and what you say about it.
Plus, we'll explore how you can plan not just the image but the caption, hashtag, posting time and more so that every week you know your content is ready for you to simply publish, interact, and have freakin’ fun!
MODULE 03
What good is all of this strategy if it's not actually leading you towards more sales and growing your biz? It’s time to talk about the end game of Instagram and how to actually convert your followers into true (i.e. paying) clients.
Instagram? It's the handshake, but when you extend invitations for your followers to connect with you and become clients, you're on your way to adding to your precious bottom line.
I'll share my 6 favorite ways to invite followers off of the app and what to do once they RSVP "yes" to your invitation to give them a memorable experience with you.
You’ll also learn the perfect mix of storytelling and pitching so that you can stop cringing when you share what you do!
MODULE 04
When you’re sick of feeds that feel like one giant marketing pitch … you know there has to be a way to actually connect and serve...
When you understand Instagram is important but you’re not sure how profitability off this platform comes into play …
When you’ve TRIED the hacks/strategies/courses—but still don’t feel like you’re sharing YOUR story ... that legacy that you're living.
When you need to share your work—but would rather stir souls than simply rack up vanity likes from fake accounts …
Are you ready?
I gained 300+ new followers and my engagement has gone through the roof. I've been much more candid and emotional in my posts, and it hasn't just impacted my metrics, it's impacted the way I think about Instagram as a whole. I can't wait to go forward and maintain this level of authenticity in future posts.
I've had some amazing growth in the last week (over 500 new followers to be exact) BUT what's even more impactful is that I have completely reworked my strategy by seeing visually what posts my audience connects with. The personal post I shared was my hugest engaged post EVER and I am thrilled to be sharing more posts just like this to stay genuinely connected to my community.
I gained 500 followers in ONE week, and my comments have doubled. This is a favorite comment that speaks to exactly what Jenna has taught us to aim for: "I love your philosophy Evann! You really bring something unique to the Insta space." Best of all, I've learned to stop comparing myself to bloggers in my category. Unique wins every time!
Just wanted to share something HUGE that I have learned from Jenna and tell you that the stuff that she teaches works! At the beginning of 2016 I committed to improving my Instagram account after encouragement from the many helpful tips from Jenna. In the past week I have received TWO wedding inquiries from brides saying they found my work on Instagram, which I had never heard before. This course is gold.
It was sort of like Jenna sprinkled magic dust on my Instagram! I was blown away by the engagement of my followers by requesting they describe my work in a few words. Some old clients even went above and beyond with sentences of love, with one e-mailing me the sweetest review. It was seriously so great and too easy. Thank you so much Jenna! Can't wait to see where else week one takes me!
Before this course I was averaging between 25-40 likes per picture. After taking Jenna’s advice on telling a story in the caption instead of just saying what I am used to seeing, I got 150 likes on that image. 150! I didn’t even think people noticed me that much on Instagram. So props to Jenna for the amazing advice.

The best part of The Instagram Lab? You don't have to wait months for your old way of posting to be pushed down in the feed to ~finally~ see results.
Got a caption to write this week? See if you can swipe my tips from Module 2 and apply them to what you're thinking to boost your engagement from the RIGHT kind of people—while writing in less time than you typically do since I teach you how to batch.
Running out of content ideas? Module 2’s caption prompts I've got for you—see if you can find at LEAST one organic way to share your work in those ideas (spoiler: there are WAY more than one way!), and work up a post for your dream client. Do this 4 more times and see if you can make The Instagram Lab pay for itself with a single week of posting.
Toying with Stories? You see where I'm going here.
As long as you're in the trenches of marketing your business on Instagram, you'll have DOZENS of opportunities to make your investment back.
If for whatever reason, you're not any closer with feeling like Instagram's helping you be that handshake between you and your dream clients, simply shoot a note to Steph on my team—she'll get you straightened up with a refund and I'll buy The Instagram Lab back from ya.
